DSC SCC communities got together to celebrate ‘one’ SCC family. The core team along with the parish priest meticulously planned the day for all the areas of our parish. 15 were given an opportunity from each zone on voluntary basis to be part the rally.
The programme began with leaders and animators carrying a name placard of their respective zones and a lighted candle towards the stage. The placards were displayed on the stage backdrop. The programme began with a prayer dance by Holy Cross and Fatima Welfare community. The Bhakti park Saint John Paul II community conducted a well animated prayer service followed by a welcome song by Dosti Acres community. The parish priest Fr. Kenneth then motivated the gathering by presenting the importance of being part of a SCC, where each parishioner is an valuable contributor towards their respective communities. The Bank buildings, Dolours and Margaret house then projected a ppt showcasing various events and activities held in communities in the past year 2022-23. The youth of CGS communities presented a dance performance and the EUCRESS and Dosti Estates communities staged a skit on the dynamics that happen when a community gathers for a prayer meeting with a positive outlook. Sr. Rena Rodrigues DHM who was our chief guest spoke about being christian, the values given by Jesus and how we can gather together as one family bonded in love. Light snacks were distributed to those who participated and the Salt Pans community proposed the vote of thanks. Thanks to the organizing team for their efforts and hardwork that made the SCC rally 2023 a success !
