Fr Biju Michael, General Councillor for South Asia, conducted the extraordinary visitation of St Dominic Savio Church, Wadala East, on 13 August 2022. Having arrived the previous day at 5:30 p.m., he spent the rest of the evening interacting with the Salesian community that ministers to the parish.
On the following day, Fr Biju Michael celebrated the Eucharist at 9:15 a.m. in the parish. At the Eucharist, which was well-attended, Fr Biju gave an insightful elucidation of the gospel of the day. After the Mass, he met the members of the Parish Pastoral Council in the rectory. He was given a briefing regarding the SCCs of the parish and their functioning. His set of morning appointments concluded with the meeting of the members of various associations of the parish in one common forum.
In the afternoon, Fr Biju Michael made a quick visit to the four chapels of our parish that serve as Mass centres for the Tamil-speaking parishioners. On returning, he met the youth of the parish: he gave them a listening ear and encouraged them.
The visitation concluded with a conference by Fr Biju Michael to the Salesian community later that evening. The community of St Dominic Savio Church is grateful to him for his visit which was so pleasant, fraternal and encouraging.
