BIS #4880 DOMINIC SAVIO WADALA GETS NEW PARISH PRIEST

Father Savio D’Souza was officially inducted as the Parish Priest of Dominic Savio Church, Wadala East by Bishop Dominic Savio Fernandes on July 30.
The induction was held during the Holy Eucharistic celebration. It was a poignant ceremony filled with symbolic gestures as the letter of appointment by the Archbishop Oswald Gracias was read out by Father Brian Moras.
Father D’Souza took an oath of allegiance to the Bishop before signing his acceptance letter and was handed the keys of the Tabernacle, the Parish Keys and the Parish Registers among other things.
In his acceptance speech Father D’Souza thanked Bishop Savio and reiterated his continued service to God by serving his people together with his Parish team. The parishioners turned up in large numbers as a show of support and to wish their pastor every success in this new endeavour.
